 Confirmation
at Osseo is a two year program that takes place in the 8th and
9th grade years. The first year is conducted by our Director of
Youth ministry and is a weekly class that meets Wednesday
evenings in October through the first week of May. The second
year is taught by Pastor Rehnberg and the class meets the first
Wednesday of each month in October through May. The class
requires the participation of at least one parent with the
student as most of the class is based on readings and
assignments that the student and parent do together in the weeks
between class. A certain level of participation (judged on the
basis of accumulated participation points) is necessary for the
completion of each year. During the summers, students can make
up for missing points by completing special assignments.
Confirmation takes place the first Sunday of October each year
for those who have completed the two year program. |
