UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
The Osseo United Methodist Women’s organization (UMW) extends a warm welcome to all women who attend our church. We hold general meetings four times a year.
We have interesting programs and plan activities to provide money and goods to help support our Mission Projects around the world. Our activities of UMW are the Spring Banquet, held in May, and the Secret Sis program, remembering a special friend with cards and small gifts anonymously.
CIRCLES
In addition to general meetings, we have four Circles of women who meet together, study, and have fun in smaller groups. These groups provide a wonderful opportunity to form closer friendships while working together to support Christian activities in the world.
The Circles are:
Deborah-Ruth – meets 1:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of the month.
Mary-Martha – meets 7:00 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month.
Rebekah – meets 7:00 p.m. on the
second Thursday of the month.
Lydia – meets 7:00 p.m. the 2nd & 4th Mondays of the month.
Meetings are generally held at the church unless otherwise indicated in the church bulletin.

Special All Ladies Event (SALE)

All women are invited to a special one day event celebrating -YOU.
Enjoy fellowship, worship, lunch, inspiring speakers, a mini-boutique, and lots of surprises.

GARAGE SALE

- We need Helpers
- Monday 6-8PM.
- Tuesday 2-4 PM and 6-8PM.
- Wednesday 2-4 PM and 6-8PM.
- Thursday (if needed) 2-4 PM and/or 6-8PM.
- Friday 9AM-1PM and 1-5M.
- Saturday 9AM - noon and Noon- 3PM.
- Saturday 3- 5PM Clean up.

We want your clean gently used working items. No TVs, computers or exercise equipment.
Bring your donations to Room A off of Fellowship hall any Sunday during Coffee fellowship.
Keep larger items like bikes and furniture until the end of July (We lack storage).
Proceeds go to the United Methodist Women's Ministries.
Women’s Retreat

PRAYER S.H.A.W.L. MINISTRY
SHAWL >> Sharing His Abundant
Wondrous Love.
Through this new ministry we will give shawls created with love and prayers to individuals who are overwhelmed and struggling with issues of illness, death or coping with difficult issues in life.
Your Help Is Needed:
There are many exciting ways for the congregation to be involved in this ministry.
- We need volunteers to create shawls – male or female!
- We need donations of money or yarn (collection tub will be in the narthex). 3-4 skeins (same color & lot #, please). Recommended yarns: Simply Soft or Lions Brand Homespun or other washable 4-ply, soft worsted.
- We especially need prayers for the creators and recipients, prayers that they will be comforted and feel God’s grace as they accept and grow in their circumstances.
- We need names of anyone you feel could benefit from a shawl and the extra love it brings.

LUCKY LADIES GOLF LEAGUE

Tuesday Evenings
Lucky Ladies Golf League is on Tuesday evenings at Begin Oaks Golf Course in
Plymouth, MN. The scheduled beginning tee time is 5:30 PM each
Tuesday night.
Golf play starts on the first Tuesday in May and continues thru
part of August (date to be determined).
Match play is played for part of the season. Handicap cards are
required. The cost of the card is approximately $22.00. The
weekly fees are approximately $18.50. One-half of the total
green fees are due by the first night of golf ~ May 5th. The
second half of the total green fees is due in June.

OSSEO SEW & SOWS
We meet on the 2nd Saturday of the month, from October through
April, The Osseo Sew & Sow’s meet at the church for a day of
sewing and fellowship. The group formed in 2006 with a mission
to sew baptism quilts. During the period of 2006 – 2008 over 60
baptism quilts were presented. Each quilt has an embroidered
label with the name of the recipient and the day of the baptism
at Osseo United Methodist Church.
Materials for the quilts are provided by various sources. When the
group has a number of completed quilts on hand other projects
are announced and can be worked on. Instructions are always
available. Whether a beginner sewer or established quilter, all
interested parties are welcome.

PAR TEE GIRLS
Women’s Monday Golf League 2011

Organizational meeting on Monday May 23rd, 2011 at
7:00 PM at the church
On Monday nights the Par Tee Girls golf at
French Lake Golf Course in Dayton, MN. The league is for
beginners and is very casual. The league is geared towards
fellowship and making friends. the league is open to friends,
family and members or co-workers. Subs also needed.
There are weekly contests with ayear end banquet.
It is about having fun!
Sign up is on the church office door.
French Lake is a Par 3 Golf Course.
The Golf League runs from June 6 through
August 22, Banquet August 29.
Time: 1st tee time is 5:30PM
Cost: $14 weekly (nine holes) + one time league fee of $10
